SHOW ME HEALTHY WOMEN 
FREE breast and cervical cancer screenings for eligible women age 35 to 64.
(Free screenings also available to eligible women over 64 without Medicare Part B)
  • Must meet income guidelines
  • Free transportation is available in most areas
  • Free mammogram screening available to women 50 & over
  • Free treatment may be available to clients diagnosed with cancer through a Show Me Healthy Women provider (Treatment not available to non-US citizens)
  • Free heart health risk screenings and education services available through many Show Me Healthy Women providers

WISEWOMAN
Empowering Women to Build Healthy Hearts
What is the WISEWOMAN program?  WISEWOMAN, or Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Woman Across the Nation, is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) program that provides prevention services for women to help them reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke
   
What types of screenings are available? 
  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Blood glucose
  • Body mass index (height and weight)

What is lifestyle education?  Lifestyle education focuses on changing lifestyle behaviors that increase the risk for developing heart disease.  These problem habits include:  Smoking, low physical activity, high saturated fat intake, low consumption of friuts and vegetables.  Lifestyle education is tailored for each individual using either one-on-one or group sessions.

WISEWOMAN provides free screening and education to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. 

If you are a Show Me Healthy Women participant age 35 or older, you may be eligible for WISEWOMAN services.
